Scissor sharpening is an expertise that takes time and patience to master. Being further trained by Master sharpener at the National Sharpeners Academy in France has enabled us to use traditional Japanese techniques when sharpening scissors. We specialise in hair salon, barber and groomer scissors. At Northwest Sharpeners Ltd, we pride ourselves on the skills and knowledge that we have acquired to efficiently sharpen your scissor blades.
Our workshop is equipped with multiple pieces of equipment that allow us to sharpen scissors appropriately. We are able to sharpen left and right-handed scissors, we sharpen bevelled, micro serrated, thinners, curved and convex edged scissors. The flat hone equipment enables us to apply micro-serrations to your scissors (please put a note in the scissors if you require this). Shears that are already serrated will be sharpened and have fresh serrations applied. Our clients come from a variety of professions; we cater for hairdressers, veterinarians, dog and pet groomers, garment makers and decorators and also sharpen domestic use scissors.
